Sometimes I hear various reasons why people are undecided about training. The one that seems to stand out most is “I won’t be able to spar or do pad work so I don’t want to train”… the questions that I usually bubble up are:
1) why not strengthen your basics… your foundation?
2) why not work on your strength, agility, endurance and overall fitness?
3) why give up 100% because you are unable to partake in what accounts to no more than approximately 20% of the training? What about sharpening the 80% ?
I’m really happy that the students at Art Of 8 Martial Arts Academy understand and appreciate the importance of the 80%. When sparring & competition is fully back on the table our students will be READY…
